This tower is 187m high. It was built in 1960 by architect H.A. Maaskant and J.P. van Eesteren. The position of the tower was chosen carefully. You would see this tower as the 'center of the town' if you aprpoached the city from the major highways. At that time, the tower was only 107 m high. When new building got taller than the tower they extendend the tower in 1970 with the Space Tower, a 85 meter tall building. You can take the Euroscoop, an elevator in glass. In 2004, the tower got two hotelsuites and a restaurant.
