The Germanic Well is a water well located between the Gelderland villages of Lunteren and Wekerom in the Dutch municipality of Ede. The well was built around 300 BC to provide water for the users of the strip fields at the Wekerom Sand. The well was constructed to access the groundwater. A pit was dug with a hollowed tree trunk at the bottom to prevent collapse. The current Germanic Well is a reconstruction, but actual wood has been found at this location that is believed to have been used for this well. That wood has been dendrochronologically dated to the Iron Age.
