GaiaZOO

Go on a journey in one of the most beautiful zoos in the Netherlands and meet special animals. In 2022, the zoo won the Silver award 'Best Outing in the Netherlands' from the ANWB. A visit to GaiaZOO is a complete trip around the world in one day!

The journey starts for you on the African Savanna where the world's most beautiful animals can be found, such as the imposing rhinos, stately giraffes and the king of animals, the impressive lion.
A special experience during the world trip awaits you in the Rainforest where all kinds of swinging and climbing monkeys live. In the monkey forest, the squirrel and howler monkeys will even climb through the branches above your head!

Special animal species
In GaiaZOO you can admire many special and unique animal species. During the walk through a beautiful landscape in the Taiga area, you will come face to face with wolves, lynxes, red pandas and musk oxen.
Meet in the Taiga|Aviary Europe's largest bird of prey: the mighty black vulture. In addition, you will discover fun facts about animals during the various animal (feed) presentations. Every day, experienced zookeepers talk about the animals in GaiaZOO and their counterparts in the wild.

New: 400 flamingos, the largest flamingo colony within a European zoo.

Playing in the DinoDome or the JungleTour
GaiaZOO offers a true play paradise for the kids with the giant DinoDome: Europe's largest indoor Dino Play Park. Children can climb, slide and play in the huge net forest and the high hoist tower!
In the JungleTour, they clamber over exciting rope bridges and high climbing towers in the open air.
