This route goes from Neerkant towards Meijel along the Schansweg (partly cobblestone). The road from Meijel to Beringe is bypassed by crossing the Deurnes canal near the Kwakvors nature reserve. Via Egchel and Helden, the route heads towards the Maas to the lock complex of Belfeld. The route also crosses the Begijnenberg nature reserve, an old sand dune between Baarlo and the Maas. Along the Castle De Berkt, the route continues towards Boekend. Through the Crayelheide nature reserve (formerly a bad road, which was newly paved in 2019), the route runs above Maasbree to Koningslust. Through the hamlet of Spiesberg, one reaches Helenaveen and returns to Heusden via the Kleine Heitrak.
