After 217 steps, you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the region from a height of 37 meters. This 'tourist tower' was built just over the municipal border near a unique 'canal junction.' At this spot, as many as three canals converge. From the top of the tower, you have a stunning view of the Kempen Lakes that have been formed over the past hundred years due to sand extraction. These bodies of water were transformed into recreational waters or nature reserves after the white sand was removed. The expanse of the natural domain De Maat is also immediately noticeable. On a clear day, you can see many kilometers ahead. Sometimes it's even possible to spot the 'mine spoil tips' of Beringen. Even those who are less mobile can enjoy the fabulous view thanks to the webcams at the tip of the tower.
