SILT is the name of a striking, recently built casino-hotel-event complex in Middelkerke.
The building includes, among other things, a four-star hotel with a sea view, a casino, a restaurant, and a multifunctional event hall. The architecturally unique design integrates landscape and architecture, with parts hidden beneath an artificial dune and a hotel tower with a striking wooden structure around it. The round shape refers to a 'bolder' or mooring post for large ships to dock. The building seems to be detached from the coast due to its location on an artificial extension of the beach. On clear days, it is visible as far as Dunkirk.
