The start of the walk is at the Wezemaalplein, where you can also park your car. We depart along the Saint Martin's Church and the associated rectory site. After 1 km, we take a field path that leads us to the Grape Hill. The Grape Hill is a combination of vineyards, orchards, forests, and heathland. At 1.5 kilometers, we start the climb of the Grape Hill. For this, we take winding, steep paths. 500 meters further, we pass the historic structure 'the wine wall'. We continue walking over the hill and at 2.5 km we dive down between the vineyards. But about 200 meters further, we start to climb again. Halfway up the climb, you pass a very nice picnic spot with a view of the vineyards and an expansive panorama over the Hageland. Definitely worth stopping for a moment to enjoy it. 4.5 km into the walk, we are walking on a sunken path that at the end offers a view of the Leuvensesteenweg. Now we arrive at the toughest part of the walk. A steep climb of 600 meters to the highest point of the Grape Hill. The walk continues along sunken paths and forests. At 7 km, we also pass the "Devil's Pit," an abandoned iron sand pit. Just before we leave the Grape Hill, we come across an impressively large Sacred Heart statue. The Christ figure extends his hands protectively over the village. A piece of religion where you can take a moment to find peace. We continue down the Grape Hill and 500 meters further, we return to the Wezemaalplein. The total distance of the walk was 7.5 km.
