De Nuchten is a nature reserve in the Dender region managed by the Agency for Nature and Forests. The swamp forest is the ideal habitat for various bird species and can be traversed by a 600-metre-long bat path. Peat was cut here and subsequent attempts were made to drain the area. This did not work and the pumping station was turned into a bat enclosure. Trails reserved for hikers and large fields in an environment sometimes overgrown with vegetation where you can see a deer with a little luck.
