This walk takes you through a fascinating mix of landscapes and nature reserves in Deurne and a small part of Wijnegem. You’ll discover that even in the urbanized Deurne, there are still many unpaved hiking paths.
The route leads you past several large green areas such as the beautiful park landscape of the Rivierenhof, the newly established park Groot Schijn, and the old forest landscape of Ertbrugge. You will also find wild natural spots, hidden stream valleys, and pieces of watery history of the city of Antwerp even among the larger estates. And all of this is within biking distance from the city center!
