The nature trail Kelchterhoef consists of 3 loops that all start near the Abbey Farm. With loops of 6, 9, and 15 kilometers, both the beginner and the slightly more experienced runner can enjoy themselves.
The different routes offer a beautiful variety of old forests, open spaces, and cultural-historical elements. For example, you run through the more than 200-year-old Chestnut Avenue, which once connected Houthalen and the abbey.
On the 9 and 15 km routes, you also run near the Plas, a swimming pond of 20 hectares that provides cooling during the summer months. The variety of landscapes and the alternation ensure a unique running experience.
