From the Asse Cultural Center on the protected grounds of the Oud Gasthuis, you can walk to Asse’s artistic hop field, featuring sculptures among the hop vines and a walking path lined with sayings and proverbs from old herbals. Admire the Waalborre Park with its exceptional trees and the Petrus Ascanus Chapel, built in 1891. The outdoor seating areas on Asse’s market square look inviting under the watchful eye of the Hopduvel. The bronze statue symbolizes the gale that sweeps across the fields in late August.
