Take the train to Houyet station. Walk 500 meters to the Houyet entry point where you can inflate your SUP board, kayak, or packraft.

The route offers about 9 km of paddling to the exit point in Gendron and 20 km to the exit point in Anseremme. Along the way, there are several official entry and exit points where you can take breaks.

At both Gendron and Anseremme, you can catch a train towards Dinant/Namur. The exit point at Gendron is close to the station, while the exit point at Anseremme is approximately 750 meters from the station.

Be sure to check navigability, entry points, dams, and obstacles on Kayak Wallonia before you set out. For train departures and arrivals at various stations, visit SNCB. For bus schedules, refer to TEC. Expect an average speed of about 4 km/h in low water and 8 km/h in high water conditions.

During the summer, it is recommended to start your trip from Houyet after 12 p.m. This way, you can largely avoid the kayakers from Dinant Evasion.
