The ponds of the Munsterbos are the favored terrain for wetland birds, such as the blue throat and the water rail. The bittern comes here in winter to search for food. The tree pipit, tree warbler, stonechat, and the viviparous lizard find the ideal living environment in the heath relics. Honey buzzard, hawk, buzzard, and tree falcon are breeding birds.
