Here you can discover the impact of the mine subsidence on the region. Water is still being pumped out so that 'the sunken village' does not flood. Almost half of Limburg's drinking water is pumped out here. The nature reserve Het Greven used to be an open and moist hay meadow, but nowadays it is a nature-rich marsh.
