The routes take you past fields, meadows, and active farms: both large-scale and charming small-scale, occasionally bordered by remarkable hedgerows. Some meadows invite rare meadow birds such as the curlew and the godwit. In various places, you can still see the remnants of the former marsh in the form of wet oak, birch, and alder carr woodlands. The Zuid-Willemsvaart is a distinctive landmark in the landscape that borders the area along the northern side.
