To/From Basilica Oostakker-Lourdes (temporary alternative route).

The route takes us to the basilica, which is recognizable from a distance by its two 56m high towers.

We cycle to the bike bridge over the Scheldt in Melle and follow the Scheldt to junction 12. A calm and pleasant route leads us via junctions 11, 8, 10, 73, and 99 to our destination. From junction 99 we cycle towards 30 but turn left towards the basilica.

Due to the construction work for the new bridge (The Little Piranha), we will take the Dendermondesteenweg on the way back (instead of immediately crossing to the Scheldt side) to cycle through the center of Destelbergen to the towpath along the Scheldt towards Melle.
