The Lords of Massemen have placed this municipality on the map. The Prinsenhof, the watermills on the Molenbeek, and the old lime tree are witnesses of their glorious past.
You will pass by:
*the lime tree: about 400 years old;
*St. Martin's Church with the second patroness Sint Apollonia;
*the Prinsenhof: old court;
*the old town hall (1772): originally a parsonage;
*the Geuzenburg;
*the nature reserve Blekerij, at the mouth of the Oliemeersbeek, 't Sijp, and the Molenbeek;
*the watermills on the Molenbeek (the Van Hauwermeirsmolen and the Maelbroekmolen.)
