For this beautiful walk we were invited by Dirk and Fons from VKSL (VriendenKring Station Lier) to join us for a walk. There were about 23 attendees.

The walk starts at the stop of 'Tielen' to 'Tielendorp' to follow the 'Broekstraat' to the level crossing that is crossed to follow the 'Schorredonken'. On 'Schorrendonken' we immediately get a beautiful view of the rural surroundings. Once 'Schorrendonken' comes to an end, the walk follows the beautiful 'Grote Kaliebeek' to turn left via 'Cawinkel' back to the railway. After this short route on the North-west side of the track 'Herentals-Turnhout' we follow the rest of the route along the South-east side of the track.

Via 'Eindeke', the 'Vennepad' and the 'Lavendelweg' the nature reserve 'Grote Heide' is crossed where you walk along the nature reserve ' Zwart Water' .

For lunch we were reserved at the ' Herentalse tennis club Ter Heyde ' After the delicious meal we continued the walk where we went along the banks of the 'Kleine Nete' to 'Herentals'. Note the straight line of the 'Kleine Nete', one can still observe the natural course on the map and in nature. Be sure to take a look at the fish ladder.
