Nature trail through the Averegten and the Plant Park Florete Flores.
The Nature Study Group Beneden-Dijle took their Tuesday morning walk here and noted flora & fauna: waarnemingen.be under Observer NSG Beneden-Dijle on the dates 22-6-2010 and 10-4-2012.
The Plant Park Florete Flores is a collection garden with a special history, whose origin lies in the former polder village of Oorderen. When Oorderen disappeared from the map due to harbor construction in the middle of the last century, René Vertommen (1920 – 2011) brought the garden to Heist-op-den-Berg.
The garden is divided into the following themes: bee plants, ground covers, insect plants, useful plants, herb plants, ferns, butterfly plants, and climbing plants. (Source: Province of Antwerp)
