The route can be shortened to 11 km by skipping the last loop. At Lindeboomstraat, instead of turning right to follow the path, you can simply go left back to the church.

An update with two adjustments to the paths that have been shifted a few meters, as at Bolveerput (after 3 km). Previously, you walked below next to the edge; now, it’s at the top of the edge.

At the start, after 50 meters to the left, the gravel path is the extended end of a driveway of a new building, perhaps misleading, but the route turns right at the post.

The hike was done in dry weather and all paths were in good condition, here and there a bit of wild growth, but that makes it even more adventurous.

You can park in the parking lot of the youth club Avalon across from the Sint Martinus Church (Gentweg 30). We start to the left and after 50 meters, we turn left into a path.
A hiking tour with paths created by Natuurpunt, right into nature, along the Scheldemeersen.
We also pass 'Air Traffic Control' in Semmerzake.
The end of the route runs along a huge wall of the castle domain Borgwal.
We did the hike during a frost period, so the ground was hard, but in the rain, it would be muddy, though those were the most beautiful sections of the hike.
For those coming with a camper, parking is easier at Gentweg house number 21.
