Nature walk in a loop shape in Mispeldonk, the nature reserve south of Bonheiden and the Imelda Hospital, between the Boeimeer and the Dijle. The area is mostly owned by Natuurpunt and connects to the Mechels Broek and Cassenbroek. Together they form an almost contiguous nature reserve.
The area contains various types of landscapes: from dry meadows, hay meadows with wooded edges, moist deciduous forests to renatured heath areas.
The landscape was formed at the end of the last Ice Age, about 10,000 years ago. The Mispeldonk farm, which gave its name to the area, was already mentioned in 1330. (Info: Wikipedia)
