Due to the work being carried out as part of the LIFE DUNIAS project, the mountain bike trail is temporarily closed (with fences).

Mountain bikers should continue along the cycle path along the Wenduinesteenweg to the Zwarte Kiezel and then take the mountain bike trail again.

The duration of the work is unknown.

The green loop of the Mountain Bike Route De Haan is an adventurous route of 22 km.

• This route contains some challenging single tracks and the off-road share is 52% off-road.
• You can start at three different locations: the Haneveld Sports and Leisure Center, the Vosseslag tram stop, or the cycling center.
• This route stretches along the coast, through 157 hectares of wooded dunes, which include two nature reserves. You can also cycle on the 12 km long fine sandy beach, except during the bathing season from June 1 to September 15 between 10 AM and 7 PM. The route takes you further through the area with many Norman villas in the Belle Époque style and the typical tram stop.
• On the west side of the route, you can reach the Mountain Bike Route Ter Polder from Bredene via a connecting section of 650 meters.
• On the east side, you can continue your way to the Mountain Bike Route Oudlandpolder from Blankenberge.
