Barrier-free tour: Historical city center and St. Nicolai Church Kalkar

A short city walk that leads to some of the most important sights in Kalkar: City Museum, historical town hall, historical marketplace with old courthouse lime tree and adjacent houses, partly of medieval origin, evangelical church, Beguinage, Jewish prayer house, St. Nicolai Church, Guild Chamber, fountain of a pump community.
The tour starts at the Kalkar Tourist Information Office, which, according to the nationwide "Travel for All" criteria, is allowed to carry the "Accessibility Tested" certification. A ramp overcomes the step into this medieval gable-roofed house if necessary.
The route runs along evenly paved streets and paths, and in St. Nicolai Church, all height differences are passable through fixed ramps.
Accessible toilets are located in the historical town hall (accessible during the administration's opening hours, 2nd floor, elevator), in the hospital (Grabenstraße 86-88), and at the bakery of the city windmill (always accessible with the Euro key).
