Slavonski planinarski put

The Slavonski planinarski put is a demanding loop through the rugged heart of Slavonia, offering a relentless challenge for experienced hikers. The route demands serious effort, with steep climbs and descents weaving through untouched countryside. Early sections introduce sharp ascents and descents, including a steep 400-meter push near the start, followed by rolling terrain that gradually builds endurance. Midway, the trail passes key peaks like Psunj and Dilj, where climbs of 200 meters or more test stamina before descending through dense forests. Later stages near Krndija and Ruzica grad feature punishing ascents, including a near-vertical 400-meter climb, before easing slightly toward the finish. Mostly unpaved and rarely busy, the trail stays immersed in natural surroundings, with minimal urban interference. Signposted but remote, it rewards persistence with untouched landscapes and a true test of hiking skill.
