Stunning car-free route through forests, grain fields, olive groves and vineyards, with regular views of the sea. Tuscany as you know it from the advertising photos. MTB or (preferably) E-MTB is necessary for the forest passage between Casale and Bibbona. The forest passage is managed by the state forestry. With a barrier, but accessible for pedestrians or cyclists. Without an MTB, the alternative is to do both the outward and return journey through the lower-lying part of the route. Also splendid. Aside from two unavoidable sections of 2 km each, the busier provincial roads are avoided. Mainly gravel routes or local agricultural roads.
