Walking along the Binnenschelde

This 7 kilometer long route along the Binnenschelde starts at the cozy Boulevard and while walking you walk along the beautiful bank of the Binnenschelde towards the restored fortification the Waterschans. From the Waterschans you walk along the dike and the beach back to the starting point. The route is fully paved and contains a few small slopes (2 bridges and a few dike roads). This route can also be done by bike, inline skates and mobility scooter. Several restaurants and a shopping center are located on the Boulevard and the car can be parked for free. Parallel to the boulevard is the Brabantse Wal ridge. Due to a steep slope near the Olof Palmebrug / Gertrudisboulevard, it is almost impossible to drive the mobility scooter from the Boulevard to the center of Bergen op Zoom.
