Pilgrimage walk from Wittem to Houthem-St. Gerlach

A beautiful pilgrimage route from Wittem, the pilgrimage site of St. Gerardus, to Houthem - St. Gerlach, the pilgrimage site of St. Gerlachus.
The route is almost completely flat as it largely runs through the Geuldal.

The return journey by public transport goes as follows:
From Houthem - St. Gerlach train station (7 minutes walk from the church), take the Arriva train to Maastricht.
From Maastricht (Central) station, take the Arriva bus line 350 (towards Aachen).
Get off at the Sinselbeek stop, Wittem. From there, it is still a 7-minute walk to the monastery of Wittem.

Accommodation is possible in: Hotel de Geulvallei or "grand luxury" at Château Sint Gerlach.

From Wittem, a three-day pilgrimage of 42 km is also possible by combining this route with:

For long-distance walkers, this combined hike can also be done in one day as a "Pilgrimage Marathon" (in a sort of triangle against the direction of the clock).
