Welcome to Toontje Schoen

The monumental farm of Toontje Schoen is located in the picturesque Ginderdoorstraat on the edge of the village of Chaam, near the Strijbeek heath. In 2012 the farm was completely renovated. The former stable area has been converted into a café. At Toontje Schoen you can enjoy coffee with Toontjes cake, farm ice cream from the Gerdahoeve from Schijf and delicious regional beers. We have beers on the menu of the Bavelse Bierbrouwerij (BABB), family brewery of Sas (Baarle-Nassau), Brouwerij Boslust (Alphen), village brewery De Pimpelmeesch (Chaam) and Brouwerij Kaarschot (Rijsbergen)

This walk starts on the playground and goes via a new path to the Chaamse stream valley to a pond of which I cannot find a name but with me the pond is known by a tree https://www.monumentaltrees.com/nl/nld/noordbrabant/breda/6996_landgoedhondsdonk/15036/ that stands there 50 meters before the thickest beech https://www.monumentaltrees.com/nl/nld/noordbrabant/breda/6996_landgoedhondsdonk/15035/ which you will encounter there halfway through the pond and is also special. Through the domain of Hondsdonk we go via beautiful paths to the Kruisvijver. This is the furthest point of the walk. From there we go via the Rondven to the Strijbeekse heide and through the heath to the Langven to go back via the Chaamse beekdal until you come across the reference to Toontje Schoen and thus partly go back over the path that brought you there
