The road from Baglung to Jharkot is marked by Dangerousroads.org.
Especially around Tatopani, where the gorge is very narrow, stones had to be blasted to build the road. The road was built in the early 2000s and improved (read: widened) in 2010.
It was built by the army.
Until there was a road, everything had to be transported from Baglung to Muktinath on foot and donkeys . At that time, trekking through this valley was very pleasant and relaxing. The Kali Gandaki Trek used to be one of the most famous treks in the world.
