The former Chimay Casino, which dominates the Place des Ormeaux , was built in 1843 on the site of an old market hall.
It was built in neoclassical style and has a rectangular plan. One of the facades, on the right, is preceded by a high, deep portico with round arches and a projecting key with a gold-decorated crown and a wide staircase.
The cozy brasserie has a very special design . An old photo collection tells stories about the lives of the residents of Chimay and the casino. The manager has regional dishes on the menu, such as escabeche from Chimay, terrine from Chimay, trout from the Abbé Gourmand or other daily suggestions. When the weather is nice, it is pleasant to relax on the terrace.
