Levern è una frazione del comune di Stemwede nel distretto di Minden-Lübbecke nella Renania Settentrionale-Vestfalia. Ha circa 2000 abitanti. Dal 1984, il luogo è riconosciuto come località turistica. Fino al 2023, questo status è garantito.
Levern è stata menzionata per la prima volta in un documento tra il 969 e il 996. Nel 1227, Konrad I di Rüdenberg, vescovo di Minden dal 1209 al 1236, fondò un monastero cistercense a Levern. Il monastero non esisteva già più nel 1543; durante la Riforma, il monastero fu trasformato in un convento secolare per nobildonne.
