Struppen is a municipality in the district of Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge, Free State of Saxony. It is located in a wide valley to the left of the Elbe and belongs to the administrative community of Königstein.
The municipality of Struppen is situated about 25 kilometers upstream from the city center of Dresden in the Saxon Switzerland region. Between the towns of Wehlen, Rathen, Königstein and the district town of Pirna, the municipal area hugs a loop of the Elbe, without having the river course as its municipal boundary.
