The starting point for this tour is the parking lot in Lambach. This destination trail leads through the Lambach and Schmelzer forest. Below the memorial stone to Franz von Baader, at the signpost for the Gläserner Steig and the Kneipp basin, the road continues towards the Familienhotel Lambach. Below the hotel, the paved road ends and leads straight ahead onto a forest path. Initially, the route is almost flat as far as the Stierberg until the path heads downhill to Hinterschmelz. Before crossing a small bridge, turn right and follow the La5 markings to the right along the stream until the narrow path winds its way up through the high forest, across meadows and open forest clearings to Tanneneck. The same way back offers uninterrupted views of the Osser massif.
