The RAVeL of the Molignée Valley

Want to discover one of the most beautiful RAVeL routes in Wallonia? You pass in front of the ruins of castles and you pass in front of 2 renowned abbeys, those of Maredsous and Maredret. In Bouvignes you imagine in the Middle Ages. With a little imagination, you can still hear the horses' hooves snapping on the cobblestones of the narrow streets of the Porte Chevalier. Not to mention the Château de Crèvecoeur which dominates the city from the high rock. In the center, in the market square, stands out the old Spanish house. Today you will find an interesting museum, the 'Mosan Medieval Heritage House'. A little further, on the other side of the Meuse, you can see the ruins of the castle of Poilvache. Shortly after Anhée, you can exchange your bike for a railway bike. You can explore the old railway of the Molignée Valley. A little further, along the road, do not miss the ruins of the magnificent medieval castle of Montaigle. The bike tour ends at the old Maredsous train station.
