Rhodesgoed is a young forest spanning 40 hectares. Despite its young age, this domain already hosts a rich collection of animals and plants. The combination of forests, ponds, open fields, and flower-rich meadows provides the ideal backdrop for a surprising walk. The Rhodebeek, meandering through the area, adds extra life to the scenery.

Directions

Rhodesgoed walk: 1 loop of 4 km in the nature reserve and 1 loop of 6 km, mainly along the many farms and vegetable fields.

Start at the Parking for the Brasserie and take the path to the right along the terrace towards the forest.

1st left and continue to follow the edge of the forest until you reach the asphalt road, here right. Then take immediate left onto the forest path, then 1st left, at the T junction right, at the crossing go straight, until the end right and ignore 1 left and 1 right, until you reach the asphalt road, here left and then 1st sharp right.

Now continue along the edge of the forest until the 1st right, and at the end left. Now at the 3-way junction right and then 1st right.

Now walk completely around the pond until right; take the GR route (red/white) and follow it to the first possible right turn, at the corner of an open area, here 1st left and at the end right, now go straight on at two intersections, follow the path along the edge of the forest, always straight until a T-junction, take the right, further at the next T you return to the GR route, here left until the asphalt road, and this is immediately the end of the first loop of 4 km.

Start the 2nd loop of 6 km going straight along the water and follow this path at the edge of the forest until the asphalt road, which is immediately the end of the unpaved paths. Here right you follow the GR route for 2 km, at the first intersection left and at the 2nd intersection left, be careful now take a narrow path left until the end where you take a right and then the 1st left.

Follow this winding road to a main road, here go straight and then the 1st left. Follow this slightly descending road until you reach the main road, here right and then the 1st left. Follow this road for a while until you have the option to take the 1st left, which is the Rhodesweg that takes you straight to the P of the Rhodesgoed.
