The Verse is a 24.5 km long, orographic left and southwestern tributary of the Lenne in the Sauerland in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
The river rises northeast of Meinerzhagen and flows from there in a northerly direction through the Fürwigge Dam and Versetalsperre, both of which are located southeast of Lüdenscheid. Below the latter reservoir, the Verse flows through the Lüdenscheid district of Brüninghausen and then bends to the northeast. In the Werdohl district of Versevörde, the river flows into the Lenne.
