The tour starts at the S-Bahn station "Strausberg Stadt". Along the Hohensteiner Chaussee, you will cycle on a well-developed, road-side bike path to Hohenstein. From there, field and forest paths lead through wonderful nature to Garzau-Garzin. In addition to the Slavic rampart, the municipality impresses with the largest fieldstone pyramid in Germany. Following a short section of the "R1" route, you will reach Rehfelde. On the final stretch, the "ZR1" winds from Rehfelde to Strausberg, skirting the Herrensee, which is located in the middle of the Herrensee Nature Reserve, Lange-Damm meadows, and Barnim slopes. Following the signs for the "Tour Brandenburg", you will cycle towards Strausberg city center, directly on the lakeside promenade of the beautiful Straussee with its unique Strausseeferry. If you wish, you can visit the lovingly designed city museum at Kopernikusstraße before returning through the old town to the starting point.
