Along the way, you can discover old treasures such as churches, prehistoric graves, or historical agricultural machinery.The circular tour starts in Bad Bevensen heading southeast. Slightly off the route and worth a detour: the Klein Bünstorfer Heide. With 59 preserved graves, this tumulus field is one of the largest in the Lüneburg Heath.Via Groß Hesebeck you reach Gollern. At the western edge of the village stands the castle chapel belonging to the former castle from the 13th century. It is one of the most beautiful old chapels in the Uelzen district with a Renaissance pulpit and a late Baroque altar. Open upon request, Tel. 05821-426 36.Next stop is Römstedt with its St. Matthew's Church (open upon request, Tel. 05821-74 18). The current building is probably the second one at this location. Inside, there is an organ from 1876 and two bells from 1707 and 1975. Notes and a relic of Bishop Conrad from 1290 indicate that there was already a church at this site earlier.The next station is Niendorf I. Here, the hearts of tractor fans beat faster: at the Scharnhop farm, tractors such as the Lanz Bulldog from 1942 or the "Kramer Verdampfer" from 1939 are exhibited. March-November daily 8-18 o'clock. Families and groups can play a type of fun golf on the Swingolf course with universal clubs and soft balls. Information/registration: Tel. 05807-2 07.On the way to Altenmedingen, it is worth making a detour to Haaßel with its megalithic tombs, popularly known as "Hünengrab" or "Riesenbett", dating back to around 3300 to 3000 BC.Altenmedingen has been home to St. Mauritius Church since the 13th century, once a stopover for Medingen Monastery before its establishment in 1336 in present-day Medingen. Particularly noteworthy: the "Reihenaltar" from 1480. Open upon request, Tel. 05823-17 32.Via Secklendorf, where you can tee off on the natural golf course (reservation: Tel. 05821-9 82 50), the route leads back to Bad Bevensen, where you can relax in the Jod-Sole-Therme.Route information: Very easy to ride, mostly traffic-free, paved route, hardly any inclines. Handbike-tested.
