Arrival/Departure:
Train: from Berlin with the RE3 (Stralsund) to Eberswalde (about 30 minutes).
Car: from Berlin via the A11 to Eberswalde (about 70 minutes).
Directions: The hiking tour starts at the entrance of Eberswalde Zoo. From here, head east following the blue markings through the parking lot, passing the wolf enclosure and continuing straight to Zainhammer Mühle. Following the path at the intersection to the right, parallel to the Schwärze, which meanders through untouched nature with its crystal-clear water. Continuing slightly uphill following the signposted hiking trail, the path leads through the pine forest over the main road to Webbecker Damm. The route now partially leads over a cobblestone street, Bernauer Damm, with a summer path to Schönholz. Along the way, you will find information boards, memorials, and a shelter. A detour to Möller-Grab is also possible. About a kilometer before Schönholz, at the stone bridge, in good weather, a detour to Nonnenfließ, which is not signposted, is recommended. In Schönholz, the path leads to the right towards Spechthausen with the blue marking. Upon reaching Liesenkreuz with a shelter, the path now leads to the left along Nonnenfließ. In Spechthausen, where Schwärze and Nonnenfließ converge, a visit to Café & Restaurant Waldhof is possible. After a break, continue through the beech forest towards Eberswalde Zoo following the blue markings. Before reaching the starting point again, a detour to Herthafließ and Herthateich is possible.
