Falset Cooperative Winery

The Celler Cooperatiu de Falset is a modernist building by Cèsar Martinell in Falset that has been declared a cultural asset of national interest. It currently forms part of the Falset-Marçà Cooperative registered in the wineries of the Montsant Denomination of Origin.
The Celler Cooperatiu de Falset is a building composed of two bodies with a sloping tiled roof with two slopes, supported by wooden girders. The main body, intended for the winery, has a basilica typology, formed by a larger central nave and two smaller lateral naves. These are separated by parabolic arches made of brick on elongated pillars, ending in an upper wall with lateral windows for lighting the nave. The transversal body is designated for production. Both bodies are separated by a mixed arcade of small lowered arches and parabolic arches at the ends on brick pilasters, allowing visual communication between the spaces.
