Molen De Kraaij is a flour mill in Westbroek in the province of Utrecht. The mill was built in 1880. This is to replace a seesaw mill. This seesaw mill has been owned by the Schuurman family since 1877. During the construction of the mill, a mill from 1839 from Amsterdam was used. In 1958, during a major restoration, the mill was equipped with self-balancing and made suitable for electricity generation. As a result, the original movement of the mill has largely been lost. The system was not very successful and the mill came to a standstill. In 1995 the sail cross was restored to the Old Dutch system with sails and the mill came back into operation occasionally on a voluntary basis. Since about 2004, the mill has been shut down due to overdue maintenance. At the end of June 2008, it was announced that the mill was awarded a subsidy with which the mill could be restored. In mid-2011, the restoration was underway, which was completed in 2012. On June 25, 2012, a trial pumping station took place. There is one grinding couple with 17der (150 cm diameter) artificial stones with a hole sharpening.
