Lingeroute W-O (via Junctions)

This route takes you along one of the most beautiful rivers in the country: the Linge.
It starts in Gorinchem (Gorkum) and then follows eastward the cycling junctions south of the Linge, as indicated above.
This route is completely flat except for a short incline past Gorkum. The route is also entirely paved except for two short sections of about three-quarters of a kilometer near Heukelum (driven fine gravel, also suitable for a road bike). There is also a section of unpaved road of 0.5 km past Enspijk.

The return journey can be by train (from Tiel station to Gorinchem station, your bike may again travel with you on the train from July 1, 2020) or, possibly after an overnight stay in Wamel, by bike via this route that follows the junctions north of the Linge: https://www.routeyou.com/nl-nl/route/view/7316456/recreatieve-fietsroute/lingeroute-o-w-via-knooppunten

A handy accommodation spot is the romantically located "Hotel-Restaurant 't Veerhuis" in Wamel (between Junction 82 and 80).
N.B.: Between Tiel and Wamel, you cross the Waal with a foot and bike ferry where wearing a face mask is mandatory.

General: Unless you have the route as a GPX track on a GPS device or smartphone, it is advisable to take a Cycling Junctions map along with the Junction scheme. It is always possible that it turns out that a sign has disappeared on the way, and then the map can provide assistance.
A Cycling Map with Junctions, attractions, and restaurants from the "Rivierenland" is available for free in many places, including most hotels.
