Rochelinval, paisible petit village de l'Ardenne belge composé d'une quinzaine d'habitations accrochées à flanc de colline sur la rive ouest de la Salm. En ce 10 mai 1940, les choses allaient changer car quelques Chasseurs Ardennais entêtés avaient décidé de ralentir l'avance allemande vers l'ouest. Le Caporal Royer et les soldats Baleine et Streel payèrent de leurs vies ce choix courageux.
