L'abbaye de Royaumont est un ancien monastère cistercien situé dans le hameau de Baillon à Asnières-sur-Oise dans le Val-d'Oise, à environ trente kilomètres au nord de Paris.
Elle est construite entre 1228 et 1235 sous l'égide de Saint Louis, et est alors une des plus importantes abbayes de France. Elle demeure abbaye cistercienne jusqu'à la Révolution française, elle est vendue comme bien national et devient un site industriel textile. Elle retrouve sa vocation religieuse en 1864, jusqu'aux lois Combes en 1905. L'abbaye est alors rachetée par Jules Goüin, et son petit-fils Henry, industriel et mélomane, en ouvre les portes aux artistes, y organise des concerts et en fait un lieu de création musicale et culturelle. Il la donne à la Fondation Royaumont qu'il a créée en 1964, première fondation privée à but culturel, qui assure depuis lors la gestion des lieux.
