Het Chateau d’Annecy was oorspronkelijk het woonhuis van de graven van Genève. Tegenwoordig vindt men in het gebouw een streekmuseum.
Het museum bestaat uit een aantal thema’s, waaronder een archeologie gedeelte, een gedeelte over de natuurhistorie van de Alpen en een gedeelte met schilderijen uit de Alpen.
