L'interior del contenidor està segellat amb una capa de formigó.
Dos desbordaments de ferro colat , un vell i un de nou, estan situats un al costat de l'altre. Les 2 presas tenen la mateixa construcció però dimensions diferents. Un d'ells ja no funciona.
El més nou substitueix l'antic i subministra aigua de xarxa .
El dipòsit servia com a subministrament d'aigua potable per a cavalls i bestiar.
