Palma, antigament de Mallorca i també dita col·loquialment Ciutat, és un municipi i una ciutat de l'illa de Mallorca, capital de la comunitat autònoma de les Illes Balears.
El seu terme ocupa una extensió de 208,63 km² que s'estenen entre la Serra de na Burguesa, el Prat de Sant Jordi i els peus de la Serra de Tramuntana. La ciutat està situada al centre de la badia de Palma, a uns 13 metres d'altura sobre el nivell del mar. Diversos torrents la travessen, com el de la Riera o el Torrent Gros, tot desembocant a la Mediterrània.
