Al vessant oriental del cim del Penyagolosa s'hi troba el menut poble de Xodos, un dels més elevats del País Valencià amb 1.063 metres sobre el nivell del mar. Està emplaçat a dalt d'una roca, dalt d'un penya-segat de més de setanta metres.
