Santa Margarida i els Monjos és un municipi es troba el sud-oest de la comarca de l'Alt Penedès, al límit amb la del Garraf.
Té una extensió de 17,39 km² i limita al nord amb els termes de Sant Martí Sarroca i Pacs del Penedès, a l'est amb Vilafranca del Penedès i amb Olèrdola, al sud i sud-oest amb el terme de Castellet i la Gornal i a l'oest amb Castellví de la Marca.
