La població de Longares, referida al cens de l'1 de gener de 2007, és de 873 habitants dels quals 493 són homes i 380 dones. .
Està situat a una altitud de 531 metres sobre el nivell del mar; distància de la capital, Saragossa, 38 quilòmetres per l'autovia A-23. Es troba entre els rius Huerva i Jalón, de la comarca Camp de Carinyena.
